About the practice
A Wales-based advice desk for UK households
Beacon Row Financial Advice grew from face-to-face pension and mortgage conversations in Larson Park into a practice that now also meets clients by video across Great Britain.
Origin
The practice takes its name from the coastal row near our first consulting rooms—a reminder that money decisions often arrive with the weather of real life: a redundancy letter, a house purchase, a parent's estate. We stay small enough that the person who takes your enquiry is close to the person who leads your sessions.
Mission
To give families and individuals a written, understandable view of their options before they move pensions, sign mortgages, or make large gifts—without jargon that hides trade-offs.
Working approach
We collect documents early, meet in focused sessions, and deliver notes you can keep. Recommendations stay within the scope agreed at the outset; if a specialist solicitor or accountant is needed, we say so plainly.
People
Consultations are led by advisers experienced in UK retail financial advice—pensions, investments, protection, and estate conversations. Administrative support handles document checklists and appointment scheduling from the Wales office.
Values
Clarity over volume. Written records over verbal-only guidance. Honest limits: we will not stretch an engagement into areas we cannot properly review from the information available.
Relationship with clients
Most clients come for a defined consultation and leave with a plan or review letter. Some return years later for a remortgage, a drawdown check, or an inheritance conversation. We do not require retainers to begin; ongoing support is arranged only when both sides agree it is useful.
